The hotel is built on a hillside offering a panoramic view to the bay of Elounda and the island of Spinalonga, with its medieval castle. There are a variety of 88 different types of accommodation, including guest rooms, suites and bungalows, most with sea view.

The hotel was built in 1990 and has since undergone many renovations and extensions through 2009. The architecture of the hotel follows the natural slope of the hillside, and there are plenty of trees, flowers and plants nicely landscaped throughout the property.

The facilities of the hotel include a large outdoor, fresh water swimming pool with beautiful sun terraces, a children's pool, a main restaurant and bar, and the pool bar and snack bar. There are many activities to choose from, including mini golf, table tennis and pool. There is also a tennis court on the property and a children's playground.

The hotel offers 88 units, of which 22 are suites, 45 are standard and superior guest rooms, and 21 are bungalow-type. The standard guest rooms have either garden or side sea views. The other accommodation choices all have sea view. Standard amenities include private bathroom with bath or shower and hairdryer, air conditioning, mini fridge, color satellite television, safe box, and direct-dial telephone.

The hotel has a conference center that can accommodate up to 150 persons.
