Despotiko Exterior |
The hotel takes its name from the Greek word ‘Despotis,’ meaning ‘Bishop,’ since it was used as a Bishop's mansion during the 18th century.
When Despotiko was fully restored and converted into a three-star hotel many years ago, the preservation of its original architectural style was one of the project's guiding principles. For the last several decades, it has been owned and operated by a local family, and all of the guest rooms and facilities of the hotel have been renewed and upgraded to its present five-star category.
Hotel Depsotiko has 40 elegant and generously proportioned hotel guest rooms that reflect the true character of the building. Amenities include satellite TV, radio, Wifi Internet Access, direct-dial telephone, individually controlled air conditioning, en suite bathrooms with toiletries, embroidered bathrobes and linen, hairdryer, mini bar, and safe box.
Mature gardens compliment the outdoor pool and create an idyllic setting.
The Despotiko is a traditional hotel, just several minutes walk from the town center, with marvelous views overlooking the town and the sea. |
