All of the Classics, plus Meteora, in four days, with dinners and three overnights.

Meteora: From the rocks of Meteora looking down to Kalambaka

We begin the tour in the morning with a drive along the coastal road to the Corinth Canal (short stop), then continue to the Theater of Epidauros, famous for its remarkable acoustics. We proceed to the town of Nauplion (short photo stop), drive on to Mycenae and visit the Archaeological Site and the Tomb of Agamemnon, then depart for Olympia through Central Peloponnese and the towns of Tripolis and Megalopolis. We'll have dinner and an overnight in Olympia, the cradle of the Olympic Games. The following morning, we visit the Archaeological Site with the Sanctuary of Olympian Zeus, the Ancient Stadium and the Archaeological Museum, then drive on through the plains of Eliad and Achaia until the magnificent bridge which is crossing the Corinthian Bay from Rion to Antirion. Passing by the picturesque towns of Nafpactos (Lepanto) and Itea, we arrive in Delphi, where we'll have dinner and our second overnight.

The following morning, we visit the Archaeological Site and the Museum. Afterward, we depart for Kalambaka, a small town situated at the foot of the astonishing complex of Meteora, where we'll have our dinner and our third overnight. After breakfast, we'll visit Meteora, surrounded by striking scenery. Perched on top of huge rocks, which seem to be suspended in mid-air, stand the ageless Monasteries, where you can see exquisite specimens of Byzantine art. Our return to Athens will be via Trikala, Lamia, Thermopylae (short stop to see across the road the Leonida's Monument). We arrive in Athens early in the evening.
