This tour combines the two major cities of Greece, Thessaloniki in the north and Athens in the south, with very scenic drives connecting the two. Also included is an outstanding 4-Day Cruise (Piraeus - Mykonos - Kusadasi - Patmos - Rhodes - Crete - Santorini - Piraeus) covering the most important island destinations in the Aegean. There’s plenty to see and do, both onboard your ship and during each island visit, with plenty of variety, as each island destination is unique.

The group will arrive in Thessaloniki. Our coach and guide will be at the airport to await the clients and then drive to Kavala. Check-in at the hotel. If time allows, there will be an orientation tour of town, highlighting the typical houses in the old town, and possibly a walk up to the castle. Overnight Kavala. |

After breakfast, depart early in the morning for Athens, along the National Road, via the famous Tempi Valley. Arrival in Athens late afternoon. Evening at leisure. Consider having dinner at a fish taverna in Mikrolimano, a charming little port of Piraeus. Overnight Athens. |

In the morning after breakfast, depart for an orientation tour of Athens with our professional guide, passing by the most important ancient and modern monuments of town. Stop at the foot of the Acropolis for an extensive visit of the site, including the New Acropolis Museum. After a walk through Plaka, the old quarter of Athens, time for shopping and lunch in town. Early afternoon, depart for a drive along the coastal road of the Saronic Gulf for a visit of the famous Cape Sounion Temple of Poseidon. Possibility for dinner at a fish taverna in Mikrolimano, a charming little port of Piraeus, or for an evening of Greek folk dances and Bouzouki music. Overnight Athens. |

In the morning after breakfast, transfer to the port of Piraeus for embarkation on your 4-Day Greece/Turkey Cruise. Your outstanding cruise destinations will include Mykonos; Kusadasi, Turkey, where you'll have the opportunity to visit the archaeological site of the ancient city of Ephesus; Patmos for the Monastery of St. John; Rhodes, with its medieval Old Town; Heraklion, Crete, for the optional tour to Knossos; and, finally, Santorini. 4 overnights on board. |

After breakfast on board, we will pick you up at the port for the drive to Thessaloniki, along the National Road, via Lamia, Larissa and the Tempi Valley. Upon arrival in Thessaloniki, we will have a short tour of the town, then check in at the hotel. In the evening, you have the opportunity for an evening out at one of the Bouzouki clubs in the Ladadika area. Overnight Thessaloniki. |

Cruise fuel surcharges, if any, are not included. Please note that this tour is only on Group basis (minimum 20 participants). For less participants, the tour is on a private basis. In the latter case, there are two alternatives: either by hired taxi or, to bring down the cost, by rented car. If your choice is by rented car, road maps are provided and a guide will be waiting for you at the archaeological sites/museums, wherever this is needed. If you don't find an itinerary that is exactly what you need and have in mind (both in terms of length and of destinations included), then choose the one(s) that are closest to your wishes and contact us by email. The itinerary that you choose will form the basis of our email correspondence. Any change or substitution is possible, and our aim is always to best fit your needs! |
