Spiliotica Traditional Houses: Front View

These traditional apartments and studios are located in the area of Imerovigli, only one kilometer from Fira Town. At the caldera’s edge and carved into the cliffside are the 20 apartments and 5 suites of this restored complex dating to the 1800s.

As the name implies, much of the architecture of this settlement is cave-like (Spiliotica), and includes so many of the original features, such as domed ceilings, interior archways, and carved, recessed nooks.

The units are furnished with many antiques, some with wall murals, others with paintings and tapestries, lots of typically Greek accessories and handmade arts and crafts, some with fireplace, and others with less decoration and along more modern lines.

Each unit is unique, and a couple of the honeymoon suites feature mirrored ceilings, while a few of the larger suites have a Jacuzzi tub in the bathroom. Amenities common to all include air conditioning and heating, private bathroom with shower or bathtub, hairdryer, fully-equipped kitchenette with mini fridge and coffee maker, safe box, satellite TV, telephone, and Wake up service and alarm clock.

Most of the units have private balcony or veranda with sensational view. 

The complex also features a small swimming pool, sun terrace, pool bar/snack bar. The swimming pool overlooks the sun terrace with lounges, tables, chairs and umbrellas, and the pool bar also offers snacks, ice cream and fresh juice, in addition to cocktails.
