Nafsimedon Hotel 4-Star Hotels
Location: Peloponnese (Mainland Region) | Argolida (Prefecture) | Nafplion Town
Nafsimedon Hotel |
The hotel is a small, family operated hotel with quaint rooms in a neoclassical style situated in a very convenient area within the city. The hotel has a nice outdoor terrace and a small bar and breakfast room.
For a bit of history about the hotel's name, Nafsimedon is one of the three sons of Nafplios the founder of the city of Nafplion. The name Nafsimedon means ship's captain (skipper), an absolutely fitting name, if one considers that his father was Nafplios, who founded a well protected port (Naus + Pleo) and his grandfather was the God of the Seas, Poseidon himself.
This neoclassical building recently renovated its interior spaces, which are decorated and furnished with antiques. It's open all year and consists of only 9 rooms and 4 suites.
Family owned and operated, the hotel's facilities are simple, yet adequate considering its very good in-town position. There's a terrace, bar, and breakfast area.
Room facilities include direct-dial telephone, mini bar, color television, safe box, air conditioning and heating, and private bathroom.
The hotel is situated in the old city, opposite the park with a view of the Palamidi castle. |
