Never has an accommodation been so appropriately named!
Situated about 600 meters from the main Porto road and the bay of Porto, this small hillside complex of only seven units certainly has one of the most beautiful sea views in this area. Because of its elevation and well-placed verandas, the view includes not only the sea and nearby islands, but overlooks the main residential area of Porto and Skilandari (especially lovely at night when the area is lit up). The complex is accessed by a narrow winding road (paved), which has little traffic and which ensures that the area remains quiet and peaceful.
At present, there are four one-bedroom apartments and one two-bedroom unit, all with kitchenette/sitting room, separate bedroom with queen-size bed, bath with shower, and sunny veranda (overhead sun shades will be installed next year). All units are air-conditioned, have a sleep sofa in the sitting room suitable for young children, and each well-equipped kitchen has a fridge and two-ring cooker with oven. Furnishings are simple, but comfortable.
New for 2011 are four ground-floor units, each with air conditioning, private bath and veranda with beautiful view. These rooms do not have cooking facilities, though they do have a mini fridge and coffee/tea equipment. A hot plate and utensils can be supplied, if desired.
There is a newly-built swimming pool, with a shaded terrace and lounge chairs, and the pool shares the same spectacular view as the apartments. There is private parking at the entrance to the complex.
While a car/bike is desirable for this location because of its elevation, it is not mandatory. The walk up from the main road and the beach takes about 12 minutes. The Porto bus ends at the intersection of the main road and the access road for Bella Vista. Of course, a taxi will take you to your door.
