On the west coast of Rhodes, at the picturesque resort of Ixia, is the five-star Rodian Amathus Beach Hotel, a luxury accommodation offering elegant furnishings and outstanding facilities. The hotel is set against a forested background, and balcony views vary between sea and forest, both equally beautiful.

The hotel has 304 guest rooms and suites, plus 28 bungalow-style rooms set in a picturesque forested area overlooking the sea. Rooms are divided into doubles (either with carpeting or ceramic flooring), bungalows, Family Suites, Junior Suites, and the elegant Rodian Suites. Standard amenities for all rooms include color satellite TV and radio, direct-dial telephone, mini bar, safe box, and private bath with hairdryer.

Bungalows are set on the terraced hillside and offer a good deal of privacy. Family Suites are maisonette style and have two bathrooms, and Junior Suites are open plan with a lounge area. The very spacious Rodian Suites have a separate living room, with television in bedroom and living room. All units have balcony, veranda or terrace with either forest view or sea view.

The main building consists of 11 floors, with a beautiful swimming pool and restaurant right on the top. There are two additional outdoor pools on the grounds of the hotel, a separate children's pool, and an indoor pool, which is also used for the Spa. All pools have freshwater.

The Spa facilities are excellent and include sauna, steam, Jacuzzi, mud baths, algae baths, aromatherapy, hydrotherapy, beauty and facial treatments and massage. There's also a fitness center.

In addition to the rooftop restaurant on the 11th floor, which serves lunch, the main restaurant is situated just below, on the 10th floor, and offers buffet breakfast and dinner. On the ground floor, adjacent to the outdoor pools, is a third restaurant serving lunch and dinner with an International menu.

For beverages, there's the pool bar on the 11th floor, a pool bar on the grounds, a Waterfall bar in an oasis-style setting, and the main piano bar with beautiful views.

The organized beach is accessed through a tunnel leading from the hotel grounds. Water sports are available. The hotel has a tennis court, children's playground, a shopping arcade and an Internet Corner.

Conference facilities include two large halls for 400 and 230 persons each, plus 12 meeting rooms for 24-60 persons.
