This five-star hotel first opened in 1995 in the four-star category and was renovated in 2004. Built in clusters on several levels, and connected by lovely terraces and walkways, the Mykonian architecture is beautifully evident throughout the complex.
Many interesting and artistic Cycladic touches can be seen in both exterior embellishments and in the interior design, which is totally Mykonian in character. Pergolas, arched windows and beamed ceilings are just some of the artistic touches of this resort complex.
The San Marco now has two restaurants, the more informal Pythari with Greek taverna-style cuisine, and the beautiful Veranda featuring Mediterranean Fusion and International cuisine. The pool bar serves drinks and snacks throughout the day, and the main bar offers cocktails during the evening.
Recreation includes the marvelous seawater swimming pool, tennis court and nearby the nearby beach of Houlakia. with its round, smooth stones (don't be tempted to take one home, this is a protected site and you could be arrested). Adding to its resort-like facilities is a newly completed Spa facility and a gym. The hotel also offers conference facilities, with two separate conference rooms for 130 persons each, with all of the customary audio/visual equipment made available.
The accommodation choices range from Classic to Deluxe guestrooms, plus the very elegant San Marco Suite Collection. Room amenities are excellent, and common to all are individually controlled air conditioning, direct-dial telephones, satellite TV, radio or piped music, mini bar, safe box, bath or shower with hairdryer and bath amenities. Guestroom balconies have a variety of views, and Deluxe guestrooms have sea view, as does the Suite collection.
