Iliovasilema

This lovely complex of 18 studios, apartments, and suites, lies along the edge of the cliff overlooking the Caldera, and has a truly magical view and a lovely atmosphere. The name of the hotel is actually the Greek word for “sunset,” so that certainly implies one of the hotel’s outstanding features.

Iliovasilema was renovated in 2002, and all of the accommodation contains the most up-to-date amenities. The architecture is in a lovely Cycladic style, and the interiors reflect many of the design features familiar to the island’s architecture, such as domed ceilings, loft bedrooms, and cave-style rooms.

Features vary from unit to unit, but all have in common elegant furnishings, relaxing soft-tone decorations, and balconies or verandas with outstanding panoramic views.

Room amenities include satellite TV, music, direct-dial phone, mini fridge, (a few units with kitchenette), air conditioning (Hot & Cold), hairdryer, private bathroom, digital safe box and private balcony with marvelous view. The apartments and suites have a sitting area, the Junior Suites have a desk with fax machine, and the Superior Suites have an indoor Jacuzzi bath and a CD player.

The magnificent Iliovasilema Suite is very spacious, elegantly furnished, and includes a CD player, computer, and outside Jacuzzi.

The hotel offers a marvelous swimming pool and bar, both looking over the volcano and the rock of Skaros. Services include fax, Internet access, daily maid service, room service, laundry service, and complimentary pool and beach towels.

A continental or American-style breakfast is available at extra charge and on request.
