Welcome to Batsi!
Batsi is located approximately 7 kilometers (4.3 miles) away from Gavrio, the main port of Andros where all ferries from Rafina dock. Between these two former fishing villages, there are sandy beaches, hidden coves and small picturesque harbors.
Batsi has lately become the most touristy resort of Andros, but it has preserved its picturesque charms. This attractive town has little red-tile-roofed houses which have been built amphitheatrically, and encircle a bay with a lovely fishing harbor at its south end and a nice sandy beach at the other side. The town is a main destination for the visitors to Andros.
Batsi has created a satisfactory tourist infrastructure, with tavernas, ouzo shops, tourist agencies, hotels, post office, bank, car and motorbike hire offices and some shops.
The Zoodochos Pigi Monastery can be reached from Batsi; a stepped alleyway leads up to a green landscape of lush vegetation, sprouting along a watercourse.
