Livadia
Livadia |
The main port of the island is called Livadia (meaning meadows), with tourist services here, plus some tavernas, accommodation, and a few bars. It is certainly not the most attractive part of the island, but you do have to arrive here by boat, and it does have its own charm. There is a pebbly beachfront around the bay, offering shade trees and clear water for swimming. From the port, you will find busses that connect with the capital, other beaches to the south and north, and to the Monastery of St. Pantaleimon.
