Welcome to Tarambados!
This pretty village, practically in the center of the island and accessed by the main road to Pyrgos, is ideally situated overlooking the terraced countryside surrounding the famous dovecotes of Tarambados. This series of dovecotes includes some of the oldest and most ornate on the island. They are truly a local treasure, as is the tranquil setting itself. In addition to taking lots of snapshots, you’ll want to spend some time here just absorbing the incredible atmosphere. A walk through the pretty village, dating to around 1700, is highly recommended.
