Welcome to Eggares!

Eggares (or Egares) valley is located some 7 kilometers northeast of Naxos Town. The valley is a green paradise of orchards and gardens, abundantly watered with the help of two artificial dams, the ones of Eggares and Faneromeni, and is ornated by a number of white little gems, the small villages in this area. Eggares is a small, picturesque, Cycladic white pearl of a village situated at the eastern part of the valley. Visit the Holy Temple of Our Lady and admire the Icon by Giannis Nafpliotis. You can also see the remains of the Mycenean Tombs excavated in Aplomata. Abrami, Pahia Ammos, and Faneromeni beaches are closeby, should you wish to switch colors from predominantly Green to Sea Blue!
