Naxos Alyko Beach; Cedar Trees and Solitude!

Alyko (or Aliko) Beach is located approximately 21 kilometers (13 miles) southwest of Naxos Town, accessed by asphalt road. One of the best beaches of Naxos, with white sand and a cedar tree forest, it is preferred by people seeking isolation. One should not expect any beach facilities, so bring along your own sunbeds and umbrellas. One sore in the eye is the ugly shell of a hotel complex, the construction of which was stopped by the authorities. At least it was never allowed to destroy the natural area in general! A very limited infrastructure in this area, some rooms and studios for rent and a few tavernas, hardly accessible on foot.
