...Another dream beach is the one of Romanos.  Access to this beach is only possible from its two ends, a reason for it to be much less frequented than the one of Voidokilia.  It  is here that Caretta Caretta sea turtles come to lay their eggs each summer, so please try to respect their habitat; no beach parties or heavy lighting allowed.

If you've come this far, it would be a pity if you did not take a walk to Kalamari (stressed on the second syllable) Waterfalls of the Yianouzaga River.  You should follow the road from Yialova (also spelt Gialova) to Schinolakka for some 500 meters (0.3 miles) and, just before the road goes uphill, you turn right onto a dirt road along the valley.  After having walked for some 3 kilometers (1.8 miles) and reached the road's end, you'll see the falls past a lemon grove to your left, which you must cross to reach the path that leads to the river.  During spring, at least six species of orchids will keep you company along the path. Ten minutes later you will find yourself on the river bank, thinking that you are in a tropical forest!
