Kalithea
Welcome to Kalithea!
This bay and resort area of the same name lie on the east coast of Rhodes, just north of Faliraki Beach. Kalithea is the larger municipality, which incorporates the seaside resort of Faliraki, as well as the mountain villages of Kalithies, Koskinou and Psinthos, all of which offer some special local dishes and interesting architecture, making them well worthy of a visit. This area is also home to a variety of craftsmen, such as goldsmiths, leather workers, potters and carvers, and you’ll find lots of workshops and outlets for their wares. Mention of the name, Kalithea, will certainly bring to mind the natural spa-springs located here, along with the beaches of Kathara, Ladiko (two beaches), Kokina (three beaches), and the caves and beach of Traounou. Most nightlife in the area will be found at Faliraki Beach.
